Jemma Craig
Founder & Creative Director

With an educational foundation in History of Art, my professional career has taken me across the globe. I’ve worn many hats in the creative industries over the years—from Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications Manager to Creative Director—before returning back to Scotland to set up Meraki Concept Studio in June 2017.

I pinned the word “meraki” to one of my Pinterest boards years ago. It’s a Greek word that means to put something of yourself into something. I want our clients to feel renewed confidence and a huge sense of pride in their business. I ensure that we do everything we can to achieve that. Our work is always conducted with the utmost care, attention and consideration.

Paula Russell
Head of Creative Services

My design-oriented mind was honed during my postgraduate degree in Publishing. Producing layouts for books and publications, and learning how they should be marketed, really broadened my insight into how things should be prepared and presented to the world.

After occupying a variety of roles in marketing and business development, I joined Meraki Concept Studio in January 2018. As Head of Creative Services, I identify and execute the best way to fulfil our clients’ briefs. Due to the variety of the services offered, this could mean researching and creating visual identities, preparing print-ready files for collateral or designing layouts for Instagram Stories. No two days are the same!

My love for creativity doesn’t end there—I’m also a lifestyle and wedding photographer in my spare time. I love to discover new things so you’ll often find me venturing further afield, outside of Edinburgh, to explore new places and spaces.
