With multiple projects flowing through the studio at any one time, we have to wrangle a lot of ideas with several clients. Asana is our go-to for managing our workflow: with the creation of separate teams and projects, we can assign individual tasks to team members and clearly see the progress of our projects. DROPBOX PLUS — £7.99 pcm

When Google announced that they were replacing Drive with Backup and Sync, we immediately looked into alternative cloud storage. We opted for Dropbox Plus for three reasons: it automatically creates file backups, file syncing is instantaneous and, crucially, it integrates seamlessly with Mac OS X. The latter was one of the defining reasons for migrating our cloud storage from Google. For £7.99 a month, we get 1TB of storage. Available for download via website and log-on via web browser.

Ever find a gorgeous colour and wonder what it is? Now you can seamlessly harmonise Pantone colours into your workflow by scanning any item using your mobile's in-built camera. It is time to raise your game on Instagram Stories! We searched high and low for an intuitive app that enabled us to quickly create stand-out video content on our phone. This app boasts a full-featured video editor and an extensive list of editing features. Now you can play with the layout: add a coloured background, left-align your video, add some text and brushstrokes. Available for download in the App Store.

MAILCHIMP — free

We will never consider another email marketing service. MailChimp is king and is so easy to use, honestly. It is feature-rich and completely flexible so you can tailor it to suit the needs of your business. As long as you have less than 2,000 subscribers, it will be free forever. Planoly is our best-kept secret. It is an end-to-end visual management platform. Coveting a perfectly-curated feed? Look no further. Planoly enables you to manage your content before pushing it live. Available for download in the App Store.

Smart software should save you time. We have been using Xero since the very beginning, and we adore it. It performs those tedious, repetitive tasks that would usually take us away from doing the things that add more value to our business.
